Krysteli is passionate about working with individuals with trauma histories. She integrates a trauma-informed and attachment-based framework. She believes in the power of the individual and utilizes evidence-based interventions to help clients achieve their therapeutic treatment goals. She transitioned to private practice after 13 years of working with adults and families related to the child welfare sector.
Krysteli has an easy-going, compassionate and supportive approach. She prides herself on being able to help her clients use their inner strength to move through their journey by seeing challenges through their eyes.
Krysteli has a Masters degree in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. She is a Registered Social Worker, Registered Psychotherapist and Certified Play Therapist. She has additional training in Somatic Approaches, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (DDP-Level 1), Marschak Interaction Method (MIM), Theraplay, Attachment-Focused Trauma Treatment, Collaborative Problem Solving (CPS-Tier 1), and MindMasters.
